Taytinja Kennel began in 2007 when I bought home my first border collie, Blaze, from the Foxbarton Kennel.  I wanted a companion, someone to spend my day with while my husband was at work and children at school.  Blaze was to be so much more than that!

His breeder recognised Breed Showing potential in Blaze and so he was schooled for the show ring and within 2 months of showing, gained his Junior Warrant, which gave him his stud book number and qualified him for Crufts entry for life.  

On his 1st birthday he won the Reserve Challenge Certificate at City of Birmingham Championship Dog Show.  His 2nd Reserve Ticket was won out of Veteran Class at West Of England Border Collie Club Championship show in 2015.  

Not content with just showing, Blaze and I attended weekly agility lessons and was soon entering Agility shows and racking up Agility Warrant points.  He has a Bronze Agility Warrant and took me from KC Grade 1 into KC Grade 4. 

Our hearts were broken when we sadly had to say goodbye to our beautiful and much loved boy.  Our home is not the same without him, but he will live on in our hearts forever.  He achieved so much, and taught us so much ....We love and miss Blaze very much, and we are so grateful he was part of our lives for nearly 14 years.
