At the start of 2021, we decided that it was time for a new puppy to join our family.  Laceway Kennel had no puppies available and were not planning to breed this year.  They told me that one of their breeding, Echo (Laceway Etched In Gold At Moshanta JW) had been put to Flynn (Moshanta May Contain Nuts JW) and puppies were expected in June.  The pup would be related to Chase as she would be Chase's brother's daughter's daughter (his great-niece)!  I phoned Trish and put my name down for a little girl and then crossed my fingers!

Brooke was born on 8th June and when Trish showed me the photographs of the 3 girls in the litter, I just knew Brooke was the one.  She came home at the end of July and, in time, will follow the same path as Blaze, Chase and Skyla - starting with companion obedience and ring craft, then into the breed ring and then, when old enough, agility.

Brooke is my "water" which compliments Blaze (Fire), Chase (Earth) and Skyla (Wind).  

Sadly, our Fire has gone but Brooke's registered name is from the children's song "Magic Penny" which says "love is something that if you give it away, it comes right back to you".  We have lost our beloved Blaze, but our hearts have opened up to another at Taytinja.
